As a kid I did not like playing with toys. I enjoyed being outside, playing games with others, like Kick the Can, Hide and Seek, Hopscotch, jumping rope, and playing 2- or 4-square.
If there was no one to play with, I would climb trees and fences, roller skate.
I also played Mr. Potato Head, checkers, Chinese Checkers, Solitaire, Monopoly.
One Christmas my Nana bought me a Chatty Cathy doll. It talked and walked. I did not know how to interact with it, though I tried. I think I was more of a tomboy.
