Have I ever doubted my faith? No, I haven't. My Lord blessed me with very strong faith. What an extraordinary gift to receive. Faith has served me well through every step of my Jesus journey.
When I was a new Jesus follower, He patiently taught me to trust Him. Step by step, He revealed His faithfulness. It did not take long to believe His prompts and do His will.
Faith and trust work together in my mind. Do I trust the One who is giving direction? Jesus has always been trustworthy. In the beginning, when I did not understand His direction, I would argue with Him, but now, mostly, I follow.
Could He decide to test my faith at the ripe age of 76? Yes indeed. Could I reject His direction? I am sure that is possible, because I am a strong-willed human. So, because I am weak, I try to remember to be humble before the Lord. Pride has been my downfall in the past, so only the Lord knows if I will fail again.
However, the Lord is gracious, and He wants only the best for me. When I fail, He has loved me to repentance, and strengthens me in my area of weakness. Beautiful!
