What is my best advice when it comes to work? Don't leave God out of it.
In a capitalistic culture we tend to forget about the Lord in the workplace. Christian people tend to do church with God and then live the rest of our lives in our own way. We depend on ourselves, not asking Jesus for help unless there is a crisis.
Would we look and act differently if we humbled ourselves before Jesus each day? Asking Him for direction and wisdom? Depending on Jesus to respect others and have peace in the daily pressures? To depend on Him in the unexpected? To whisper His name while working on a difficult task? To see our day from His unique perspective?
Depending on the Lord takes practice. Jesus has made us for relationship with Him. He desires to be involved in your day. Think about Him, talk with Him, learn about Him.
To think you are able to manage work and life without depending on Him is hubris at best, because we are not made to live without Him. Trust Jesus to give you all you need to do your best at work and in life.
