Before Your Conception

Before the world began, God chose you in Christ (Ephesians 1:4). And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28-29). Before you took a single breath, God was already at work on your behalf.

"You are special. The Lord delights in you and is intimately involved with you."

"You are no accident."

At Your Formation

In the beginning God created (Genesis 1). Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell Me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone, while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy? (Job 38:3-7).

God created you in His own image (Genesis 1:26). He knit you together in your mother's womb (Psalm 139:13-16). You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Through Your Transformation

When you came to Christ, everything changed. God knows you completely. You have searched me, Lord, and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise. You perceive my thoughts from afar (Psalm 139:1-6). Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight (Hebrews 4:13). Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? (Hebrews 1:14).

"We will get to know how God looks at us and how He is intimately involved with us and how He has provided for all the stages of our lives."

Adopted Into God's Family

There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:10). It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:30). He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:5). Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her to make her holy (Ephesians 5:25-26).

You are adopted. You belong. You have a family.

Sealed With the Holy Spirit

"Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow" (Isaiah 1:18). You were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13). The Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26-27).

Given Spiritual Gifts

God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Perfect love drives out fear (1 John 4:18). We have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16).

Given Access Through Prayer

By the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought (Romans 12:3-5). Christ gave gifts to equip His people for works of service (Ephesians 4:11-16). God has seated us with Him in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 2:6). Through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit (Ephesians 2:18).

Given a New Nature

If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here (2 Corinthians 5:17). Our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be done away with (Romans 6:6).

Royal Responsibility

You are not just saved. You are sent. You are not just loved. You are equipped. You are not just forgiven. You are commissioned.

"You are whole in Him."

"Royal responsibility."

You are special. The Lord delights in you and is intimately involved with you.

You are no accident.

You are whole in Him.

Royal responsibility.
